Griffin Boyce uses technology to try and make the world a better place. He focuses on public-interest projects, and is especially interested in technology of human factors, psychology, and public health.
Willow Brugh
Willow is an organic chat client, an autocatalytic creator of community. With an honors degree in Sociology from Indiana University, she focuses on the overlap of society, technology, and sexuality. She's run Transhumanist discussion groups since 2005, but Space Federationand Geeks Without Bounds now occupy most of Willow's time.
Jesse Darling
Jesse Darling is an artist of many media working in street art, installation, performance, photography, sound and video. Originally trained in dance and physical theatre, JD also studied at the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and holds a BA in sculpture from Central St Martins in London. Laura G. Duncan
Laura G. Duncan is a sexual health researcher and educator currently living in Brooklyn. Her research is in the field of medical anthropology and focuses on the influence of medicine on social and individual understandings of sexuality, as well as issues of health care accessibility in underserved communities. She has taught sexual health education in a variety of academic, non-profit and community venues and is currently a pre-medical student and full-spectrum doula. She is, disappointingly, not a robot.

Adam Flynn
Adam Flynn does research and strategy work for the nicest bunch of hidden persuaders and brand mythologists you've ever met. His interests include game design, other-stuff-design, media theory, ethnography, military doctrine, and future shock.
Rich Gibson
Rich Gibson works on the Gigapan and Explorable Microscopy Projects for Carnegie Melon University and NASA's Intelligent Robotics Group, and independently creating high resolution portraits of people and developing new ways to archive physical spaces with explorable images. He is a bricoleur hacker, artist, programmer, author, and builder. He helped create the Neogeography movement, coauthoring Mapping Hacks and Google Maps Hacks. The process of working with and exploring how we interact and explore space lead him to the more generalized world of providing both context, and detail with explorable images. For the past four years he has been obsessed with creating new ways to capture and use high resolution images of everything, including the Chaos Communications Camp in 2007, Volcanos in Arizona for NASA, the incredibly tidy offices of Monochrom in Vienna, details of cell metosis in mouse testis with sub-micron resolution, and portraits of people with the details of landscapes.
Johannes Grenzfurthner
Johannes Grenzfurthner is an artist, writer, curator, and director. He is the founder of monochrom, an internationally acting art and theory group. He holds a professorship for art theory and art practice at the University of Applied Sciences in Graz, Austria. He is head of the "Arse Elektronika" festival in San Francisco, host of "Roboexotica" (Festival for Cocktail-Robotics, Vienna and San Francisco), and co-curates the Paraflows Symposium in Vienna. He or his project were featured in New York Times, Spiegel, San Francisco Chronicle, CNN, Reuters, Slashdot, Boing Boing, LA Times, NPR, ZDF, Gizmodo, Wired, Süddeutsche Zeitung, CNet or the Toronto Star. Recurring topics in Johannes' artistic and textual work are contemporary art, activism, performance, humor, philosophy, postmodernism, media theory, cultural studies, sex tech, popular culture studies, science fiction, and the debate about copyright.

Gopinaath Kannabiran
Gopinaath Kannabiran is currently pursuing his PhD in Informatics at the School of Informatics and Computing at Indiana University, Bloomington with Human Computer Interaction Design (HCI/d) as his specialization. He is co-advised by Dr. Jeffrey Bardzell and Dr. Shaowen Bardzell. He received his MS in HCI/d from the School of Informatics and Computing, Indiana University Bloomington in 2010, and has a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Engineering.
His research work focuses on the experiential aspects of the design and use of interactive technologies. Issues of gender and sexuality are central to his research and are informed by critical HCI, feminist HCI and design theory. Currently he is involved in two projects with the Cultural Research in Technology (CRIT) group at Indiana University, Bloomington lead by Dr. Shaowen Bardzell and Dr. Jeffrey Bardzell. One of these projects tries to engage with online technosexual spaces while the other tries to understand the design and usage of sex toys.
Heather Kelley
Heather Kelley - moboid - is a media artist, curator and experience designer. Named by Fast Company magazine as one of 2011's thirty most influential women in technology, Ms. Kelley heads her design studio Perfect Plum. Her biographical sex game concept with Erin Robinson, entitled "Our First Times," won the 2009 GDC Game Design Challenge, and her game concept "Lapis" based on female orgasm won the 2006 MIGS Game Design Challenge. Her newest product is the OhMiBod Remote app, which uses the iPhone touch screen to control a connected vibrator.
Ned Mayhem
Ned Mayhem is working toward his PhD in experimental condensed matter physics. He augments his meager student stipend working as a queer porn performer, and is active in the sex positive scene in the Bay Area. Ned tackles the hard science and engineering problems in the PSIgasm project. With a strong background in low noise measurement electronics and data analysis techniques, Ned is excited to put his scientific education to work outside of an academic setting.
Maggie Mayhem
Maggie Mayhem has been active in the field of sex positive activism and sexual health support services as: an HIV test counselor, University of California Santa Cruz HIV Testing Clinic Coordinator, HIV Senior Specialist at Larkin Street Youth Services in San Francisco, 2009 "Ambassador of Change" grant recipient for AIDS care and HIV prevention work in Bagamoyo, Tanzania, harm reduction street outreach worker in San Francisco, and as a San Francisco Sex Information Hotline switchboard operator and supervisor since 2007. Maggie Mayhem is also a performer and entertainer who is often spotted in front of microphones, on stage, and in front of the occasional camera as well.
Maymay
Formerly an open source programmer "by day" and a sexual freedom advocate "by night," Maymay has been an outspoken member of kinky, queer communities since 2002. Now a full-time activist, writer, and public speaker, he frequently examines cultural and political issues ranging from censorship to community building and beyond on his blog at maybemaimed.com. Using an interdisciplinary approach that treats sexuality as a lens on the rest of life, Maymay also hosts the Internet talk show KinkOnTap.com, authors the explicit photography blog MaleSubmissionArt.com, and founded the all-ages KinkForAll.org series of sexuality education unconferences. Since its inception in New York City in 2009, educators and activists brought KinkForAll to 5 cities across America including Washington, DC and San Francisco.
As a social justice technologist, maymay rallies hackers, Makers, DIY enthusiasts, environmentalists and myriad other groups to support sex-positive feminism. As a sexual freedom activist, maymay works to connect enclaves of the sex-positive movement with one another through the power of the Internet and social networking. Maymay's seminars have been featured at conferences from coast to coast, and he regularly injects sex-positivity into each and every community he geeks out with.
Aaron Muszalski
Aaron Muszalski is an artist, storyteller and tireless proponent of collaborative culture. He is a frequent contributor to some of the Web’s most popular blogs, like Boing Boing (for whom he guest hosted BB Video) and Laughing Squid (former Associate Editor). Before emigrating to the Internet, he spent a decade creating groundbreaking visual effects for George Lucas at both Industrial Light + Magic and LucasArts, earning screen credits on such diverse productions as Star Wars: Episode I and the videogame classic, The Secret of Monkey Island. An accomplished maker with a volunteering problem, he is perpetually involved in a variety of large and often improbable industrial arts projects. Recent collaborations in this area include SYZYGRYD (a 2.5 ton musical instrument and interactive fire sculpture) and the Burning Man (the massive central effigy of the eponymously named Burning Man festival, which he has built since 2007). He currently works as a Storyteller for the Wikimedia Foundation, showcasing the unique stories of Wikipedia users around the world.
Eleanor Saitta
Eleanor Saitta is a hacker, designer, artist, and writer. She makes a living and a vocation of understanding how complex systems work and fail and redesigning them to work, or at least fail, better. She works with architecture, technology, software, words, pixels, paint, and other, more durable media, and more specifically at the intersections between them, with an emphasis on the seamless integration of technology into the lived experience and the humanity of objects in the built environment. Eleanor is a co-founder of the Trike project(http://octotrike.org), an open source threat modeling methodology and tool which partially automates the art of security analysis, and also of the Seattle Public N3rd Area space. She is a regular speaker at conferences including the CCC Congress, SigInt, Uncivilization, ToorCon, and Arse Elektronika. She currently lives mostly in airports and occasionally in New York.
Douglas Spink
D.B. LeConte-Spink is a co-founder of Baneki Privacy Computing (baneki.com), a legendary incubator of radical socio-technologic projects and services, and a longtime researcher in the field of cross-species socioemotive symbiosis. Currently, he is, in his own words, "an American political prisoner as a result of my longtime academic interest in genuinely reciprocal models of human/non-human emotional bonding, social connectivity, and inter-species cooperation, as well as my longstanding work in the areas of free-speech, anti-censorship, and other pricacy/encryption technologies; in 2010, I was sentenced to three years in federal prison, despite being neither charged with - nor convicted of - any actual crime, in a witchunt-style orgy of demagougery, hatred, and a hijacked 'justice system' targeted at me due to my ongoing political work and activism." Mr. LeConte-Spink carries an MBA from the University of Chicago, a B.A. in cultural anthropology from Reed College, and has studied complex systems theory at the doctoral level. He is a fixed-object jumper who has opened exitpoints worldwide (BASE 715), a Zen Buddhist, a mentor to several International-level showjumping stallions, a longtime technology entrepreneur, a former operational member of a US/Canadian helicopter smuggling crew, a former organizer of underground electronic music gatherings in the Pacific Northwest, a co-founder of a successful purebred dog rescue group, and served proudly as a front-line activist for Earth First! during the ancient forest wars of the late 1980s. Currently, he pursues his academic interests as an independent researcher, having published extensively in numerous fields.
